The alpacas on the upper paddock. Lets hope they'll get the grass under control
Today we separated the cows and the alpacas. The mowerbots (alpacas) are now on our upper paddock to get the grass under control. Look how high it has grown. The cows remain back in the other paddock and we have a new family member in the middle paddock. More news re the new family member late
Geena watching over the frosty Kaipara valley
I love the seasons and their distinctive differences. Autumn with its colours and now winter with their crisp, cold and blue mornings. I went down the valley this morning to feed the cows and alpacas. We feed they hay to warm them up and they love it. Took some pictures on they way. The alpacas greeted me with frost on their backs. What a lovely cold morning.
This is a picture I have just taken from the deck just after a big downpour. Still raining but what a scenery.
This is a picture I have just taken from the deck just after a big downpour. Still raining but what a scenery. Shows that the landscape is beautiful even in bad weather, but then, what is bad…
We could not have asked for a better and more beautiful night for our May bonfire. We invited some friends for Walpurgis night, the last night in April.
Our rescue rats are starting to recover
Two more rescues are becoming part of the family. They came with infected claws and paws and one was missing part of the tail. Now they are all fine again and quirky as.

Sunset over towards Muriwai valley
This is just an example of the lovely sunsets here.
I love it to be up early when nature wakes up. The air is clean and fresh, energizing. And you are rewarded with a stunning sunrise.
