Shady our little Bush Pegasus has peacefully crossed the rainbow bridge today. We are so glad he was able to go gracefully and peacefully with all of us and his best mate Rusty by his side.

We have been busy on various little projects to keep us busy. From cooking to exercising, watching some movies to projects outside.

Day one of not going out to anywhere, not having contact with anybody outside the property in an attempt to flatten the infection curve. National state of emergency.

Today Shady and his rider Jolan had a first time participation at ribbon day.

Yesterday was such a hot day that the ducks did not come out from their shady space underneath their house.

After the rainy weekend we got busy outside again. Saturday we weeded the paddock and sowed new grass plus added fertiliser. Sunday we got the concrete mixer out and got builders mix and cement from Waimauku Landscape supplies to pour concrete into the animal shelter.

Some childhood dream became true on Wednesday : Rusty arrived from Tauranga. Such a lovely character, not shy but gentle, a bit droopy looking

Just wanting to share an image from the end of a lovely and productive weekend. Shady’s seem to have caught fire.

Gave the grubby pony a good groom after all the rain. He thoroughly enjoyed it and appears to indicate Summer’s here 😉 Shady was also really interested in the camera…
