Lots and not so much happened. New ducklings, alpaca maintenance, Christmas, holidays and lots of animal fun.

Even on rainy days you can find a lot of beauty outside when you decide to battle the elements and get outside.

It’s been a few rather wet days. Some with intermittent sunshine but not enough to dry up the ground yet. The cats use the sunny breaks to go outside but other than that they seem to be in hibernation.

It’s so nice to get outside between rain break. The weather has been warming up over the the last days and we are getting 20 deg during the day.

I picked a few pictures to keep you entertained and maybe – once we are out of lockdown – you may want to drop by for a stay and enjoy some time off. We will be opening in level 2.

This year was special and I had not yet seen the water that high. Kumeu and Waimauku townships flooded too and other suburbs in West Auckland. For some it was pretty bad and I feel sorry for the affected people – and animals.

It’s been rather wet, foggy and cold in the last couple of days. The cats spent more time inside and expressing a form of cabin fever when awake but they are mostly asleep. The horses are asking for more food, the chickens are hiding in…

The seasons are changing. Summer went and Easter and Autumn came around. We have been starting to prepare for winter to come.

The first days of summer greeted with a mixed bag of weather. The first day was coldish and still wet with quite some wind. But that all eased down on the second day which turned into a nice, dry and hot summer day featuring blue…

Nothing much really has happened over the last few weeks and hence our updates have been rather sparse. One thing did happen however: Think it really turned spring.
