And just like that it’s winter again

Feels like summer was just happening. The ever changing mix of sunshine and rain has started the rainbow season.

The mornings have been quite often foggy and the fog is following the Kaipara river in the valley.

Feels like summer was just happening. The trees have been turning red over the last few weeks with lots of rain and storm. We had to light the fire a few times for some cold nights and managed to have a bonfire on a nice weekend.

Winter started off beautifully with warm days and sunshine over the long King’s birthday weekend.

We spent some time with animals, tidying up the garden and splitting and stacking firewood for the colder days to come.

There was nothing extraordinary to write about this winter, really. It’s not been too wet and not too dry, neither too cold or too warm. We had a few frosty nights and a few pretty rainy days but all in all it was reasonably warm and okay from a mud perspective.
The sun has been more prevalent and the odd shower has helped all plants to grow a lot. It’s nice to see so much fresh green in various shades
The days have become short and cold, with some frosty mornings. Luckily, so far winter has not been as wet as last years.
Summer has come to an official end, and one can tell. The nights are getting colder, the fog in the morning gets more, although beautiful to watch.
Spring came and went, Summer took over without much changing. It’s still raining every other day and the sun shines intermittently. But on the bright side that has made all the grass grow.
The weather is getting warmer, the mud on the ground has disappeared, the grass has been growing lots, making animals and people are happy.
