The munchers are happy again after I moved them over into the other paddock – the one with more grass. Seemed to be appropriate for them for Christmas.
This year, the nice, hot weather started already mid November and by now, we had no rain for 5 weeks and all local water carriers are booked out until end of January. Finally we had some rain and that filled the tank almost up again…
Such a lovely day today, the cows have been laying in the paddocks sucking up the sunshine, the horses looked happier today even though there is still no grass to eat around and the alpaca boy were having play fight after inspecting us closely.
After the rainy weekend we got busy outside again. Saturday we weeded the paddock and sowed new grass plus added fertiliser. Sunday we got the concrete mixer out and got builders mix and cement from Waimauku Landscape supplies to pour concrete into the animal shelter.
