Spring has arrived – with mixed weather

If you don’t like the weather, just wait 5 minutes

Auckland saying

In Auckland they say: “If you don’t like the weather, just wait 5 minutes.”

And that’s entirely true. Spring came with beautiful warm and sunny days, storm, hail, rain and sunshine in between. It was cold and a few hours later warm again and vice versa.

The ducks started laying eggs, more than we could ever eat and we started selling duck eggs again.

And the flowers and trees started to sprout, grew buds and blossomed.

The cows munched through the last hailage we made last year and were getting hungry. Just in time the spring growth sat in to be able to feed them.

We have been busy with work around the garden and paddocks. Planting and seeding vegetables and trees, tidying up the paddocks, spraying weeds and checking traps.
