Silver gave birth to 3 beautiful kittens very early on Saturday morning, so yesterday was a very slow day here on our little farm after a very short night with Ms Silver’s new arrivals.
Spring is in the air. The weather is getting warmer, so I did my walk down into the valley to check the water supply to the troughs, checked all fences and gates.
It is getting somewhat busy in the kitchen. The kittens are getting more mobile, have left their home and mom is running busily after them. It also means that you really have to watch your steps as there may be some nosy little creature crawling…
Our new ducks have been temporarily located on our front lawn as as with all temporary things, they last far too long. So after a few months and completely destroying our lawn, the ducks finally moved onto the paddock next to the chicken.
the amount of rain we had over the last few days is extraordinary – at least on a subjective level. The occasional hours of sunshine in between evaporate the water quickly, hence yesterday we had 30 deg C. with 80% relative humidity.
