Just a short post – wanting to share the amazing light in the valley tonight.

Yesterday was such a hot day that the ducks did not come out from their shady space underneath their house.

The last winter has been so terribly wet and turned all paddocks into mud that we decided to have the horses in a shelter and feed them rather than having them wading through mud and effectively thrashing the paddocks.

Woken up to the meowing of hungry Silver, the cat, to a quiet world outside other than the sound of the West Coast surf breaking on Muriwai beach.
