Yesterday was such a hot day that the ducks did not come out from their shady space underneath their house.

I would hope that our horses think that the feeders are very nice people, because we got them an extra special Christmas present just in time for the Waimauku Pony Club Christmas celebrations. And so Shady already had his first ride in the new horse…

This year, the nice, hot weather started already mid November and by now, we had no rain for 5 weeks and all local water carriers are booked out until end of January. Finally we had some rain and that filled the tank almost up again…

Video: Our new calfies Agnes Moo, Abigail Nosy Moo and Angela Moo just arrived last weekend. Agnes has been scouring for the past two days and gets some special care. That day we had a hail storm coming up outside.

Tatjana took a lovely picture this morning and it’s too cool not to share it. Makes you appreciate nature and our lovely spot again. And another example that mornings can be very special and energizing, even though Tatjana would not agree on that one.

The weather is getting colder and wetter and other than that there are not too many news. So I decided to just publish a collection of autumn pictures. Enjoy.

Done… busy weekend making the most of the weather… weeding, fertilizing and oversowing paddock yesterday, pouring concrete in the animal shelter today. For years the shelter has been wet – this will hopefully make it drier and easy clean!

Our new calfies have arrived last Sunday. So cute they are. They have not picked the best weather – it has been raining for a few days and all is soaking wet. I remember last year was beautiful and they were enjoying fresh spring grass.…
