Spring is in the air. The weather is getting warmer, so I did my walk down into the valley to check the water supply to the troughs, checked all fences and gates.

The last winter has been so terribly wet and turned all paddocks into mud that we decided to have the horses in a shelter and feed them rather than having them wading through mud and effectively thrashing the paddocks.

The winter storms and the wet weather was not too good for some of our already damaged pine tress along the middle paddock fence line. So we untied the fence wires and chopped the most damaged and dangerous trees down. All trees fell exactly between…
