How do you transport a goat that does not want to lay down, is somewhat hyperactive (on three legs) and takes interest in everything?
Erwien came back this years with a new bunch of ducklings and proudly presented them, just like last year. She’s such a good mummy.
What a joy and surprise that was when a few days ago Erwien showed up with a boyfriends and a whole bunch of fluffy ducklings.
A weekend of alpaca shearing, vet attendance, fixing fences and water troughs.
The vet found Daffy in his grandpa feeder for his chickens and Norbert got dropped of at the local vets. We thought we would take them home so they can be friends for our other rescue ducks.

We had our lovely cat Kahlua with us for about 12 years, maybe a bit less however after such a long time you lose count – it feels like forever though. You get the idea. After she passed away and we were grieving for some time, we felt the urge to fill the void.
After we cut all the dead privets off along the boundary fence last Monday, we thought that we could as well burn it as it was dry and there was hardly any wind on that day. The kids concluded that we could then have a bonfire, have marshmallows and invite some friends. Said and done
Today was Waimauku School AG(ricultural) day. For those cityslickers who do not know what AG day is, it is a school day where all school children have the opportunity to showcase their hand-reared calf, lamb or chicken along with a variety of other categories for those unable to rear an animal.
Yay, we are getting closer. Yesterday the electrician finished his work and it’s great to have lights everywhere to work even longer to get all finished.
