It’s been a few rather wet days. Some with intermittent sunshine but not enough to dry up the ground yet. The cats use the sunny breaks to go outside but other than that they seem to be in hibernation.

Life is slowing down

After being rather busy over the last week before Christmas with a film crew on site and the typical “everything needs to be finished by Christmas” work frantic, we are now all truly in holiday mode.All at Pukeatua Farmstay wishing you a lovely and relaxed time and a Happy New 2021. Funny to see the cat getting quite intimidated by the arrival of the ducks behind her and starting to freak and run away when one of the ducks started picking the cat’s tail.

Silver gave birth to 3 beautiful kittens very early on Saturday morning, so yesterday was a very slow day here on our little farm after a very short night with Ms Silver’s new arrivals.

New fluff arrivals – more rescues

We had our lovely cat Kahlua with us for about 12 years, maybe a bit less however after such a long time you lose count – it feels like forever though. You get the idea. After she passed away and we were grieving for some time, we felt the urge to fill the void.
