We had flooding and cylones. The ducks have been the only very happy creatures but they turned their area into a slimy, muddy mess.Guess that sums up the last few months.
It’s the time of the year again. It’s very dry, the soggy paddocks have dried up and it’s the perfect time to dig out all the drains.
Our 2 little baby goats are called Muddy Valley Twi and Muddy Valley La. They love bouncing around in their paddock and up onto the things in their playground.
Saturday was the day of the bi-annual alpaca maintenance
The seasons are changing. Summer went and Easter and Autumn came around. We have been starting to prepare for winter to come.
A video a friend made in summer two years ago. The horse shelter was still under construction at that time. The flightover shows our alpacas in the lower paddock and gives an impression of our lovely hillside spot.
Here’s the rain that is supposedly to end the drought.
Another summer has gone by and autumn came, dry and cold.
We have been busy on various little projects to keep us busy. From cooking to exercising, watching some movies to projects outside.
It’s been a long time we had some cute calfies arriving here. Yesterday was the day 3x cute new calfies arriving. They walked down the driveway into the shelter and are now happily mixing and mingling with the horses.
A weekend of alpaca shearing, vet attendance, fixing fences and water troughs.
Another storm has been announced last night, so early this morning we finished the horse shelter area and moved the two boys over so they are going to have a more comfortable place during the day when the weather closes in.
