Today was a sad day at Pukeatua Farmstay. We had to say goodbye to Peekie, our female Buff Orpington Duck. She was all well last night and this morning we found her in a corner of the duck run. She must have died overnight.
Tatjana is a perfect host. Good communication in advance and she arranged a superb dinner at a winery nearby. Even drove me there, so that I could drink some wine. Great room, scenic view. Personally I would be happy to see a large sign at the entry gate.

A family run farm that are so helpful and welcoming. We became part of the family for our stay here. Lovely hosts in a beautiful part of the world.
Travelled to Waimauku from Auckland (approx. 40 mins away) to escape the City for a couple of days & enjoyed every minute of our Stay. Special Thanks to our wonderful hosts. My Daughter loved spending time with the farmstay family & her friend, with many animals to visit & feed while enjoying

Great spot away from the city in a friendly B&B, great Light Breakfast with the owners who can provide useful local knowledge of things to do and where to eat.

You couldn't ask for better hosts - they made us feel like part of the family. The facilities were spacious and clean. For evening meals we travelled to local towns mainly about 15 minutes away. We would certainly pick this again.
